Welcome to our website. We are glad you decided to pay us a visit! We have set up our website to help let you know who we are what sort of things we do at Bruce Rock Church of Christ (BK Church).
Our heartbeat at BK Church is to be a blessing to our community. Our desire is to love Jesus and love His people so that the world may believe. We want to be known as a church who really loves God, loves one another, does good deeds in our community and helps people to follow Jesus in a real and practical way.
Our Church Services
We meet each Sunday morning at our church building on Butcher Street. Our services begin at 9.30am.
Our church services usually include a welcome, some singing, a time of communion, an offering for the members to help with the running of the church, a time of prayer for the members and the community and a sermon to encourage us. The services usually last a little bit over an hour and most people usually stay afterwards for a cuppa and a chat.
We also have a number of groups that meet throughout the week. These include Bible studies and craft groups.
Bruce Rock Church of Christ began back in 1935. At that time the church met in the old CWA Hall. In 1963 the church purchased the old Bullfinch Fire Station and shipped it to Bruce Rock on the back of several trucks. Since this time the church has been meeting in this building on Butcher Street.
Bruce Rock Church of Christ is part of the Churches of Christ Australia. We are also part of Christ Churches of Christ in WA (COCWA), which is an Association of 60 independent but interdependent local churches. The Churches of Christ began in Australia in the 19th century and the first church in WA was planted in 1890.
